Webinar 2 - Teaching English to young learners in public kindergarten

on the THURSDAY, 10th December, we had the opportunity to meet and listen to a lecture by Mrs. Magdalena  is a pre-school education teacher and an English teacher in kindergarten. She works in a public kindergarten in Otwock, with children from 3 to 6 years old.

During the webinar, Ms. Magdalena talked about her way of conducting classes in kindergarten. She has introduced a variety of materials that she uses its in her classroom It has a typical classroom that contains equipment to facilitate the teaching process, she drew our attention to the course books that she doesn't follow but follow kids curriculum, she introduced 2 books that its useful for kids in kindergarten Bingo and hello book. In the next point she mentioned some points about using and not using course books ,she has introduced some of her list must have in English classroom and she introduced examples of activities .In second part of her presentation she pointed out An important point is the Merge English literature into the English classrooms There were some opinions from collogues about this idea, one of them indicated that if the book includes pictures and simple vocabulary kids will motivated. The other said that it would be difficult for students not to understand the vocabulary and this would lead to their lack of enjoyment of the story. In the end, she recommended some various books related to children and advised to use its.
